by Real Barrier Cerabase Calming Moisturizing Cream
Neopharm calls "by Real Barrier" a second brand of Real Barrier in its own January 2025 press release, launched at Daiso as a six-SKU Cerabase line priced 1,000 to 5,000 KRW. Unlike most Daiso beauty lines this one is made in-house: Neopharm is both manufacturer and responsible seller, the same pairing as on the retail Real Barrier Extreme Cream. The two creams share Neopharm's signature pseudo-ceramide barrier ingredient but are not the same formula — 29 declared ingredients here against 45 at retail. (Checked: 2026-09-07)

Is it OK for sensitive skin?
Declared facts only, not a suitability verdict: fragrance is declared; no labeled fragrance allergens declared; no denatured alcohol listed. No irritation-related fact here implies suitability for any skin type.
How much of the key actives does it contain?
Panthenol: rank 10 of 29.
Can I buy it outside Korea?
No international-shipping channel verified in our sources (checked 2026-09-10); Shipping scope unverified: Daiso Korea, Daiso Mall (daisomall.co.kr).
How is the Daiso version different from the original?
Same company, same barrier technology, a leaner formula. Neopharm makes both this cream and the retail Real Barrier Extreme Cream in-house and is the responsible seller for both, and both declare the company's proprietary pseudo-ceramide alongside phytosterols and panthenol. But this one declares 29 ingredients against the retail cream's 45. The retail version adds a full emulsifier and fatty alcohol system, plant oils, madecassoside and two peptides; this one is a lighter gel-cream whose distinguishing addition is Ceramide NP, which the retail Extreme Cream does not declare at all. Compared from both ingredient disclosures on 2026-08-31.
How much cheaper is it really?
That depends entirely on where you buy the retail cream. Against Neopharm's own store, where the 50ml Extreme Cream lists at 38,000 KRW, this 50ml cream at 5,000 KRW is 7.6 times cheaper per ml. But Olive Young routinely sells the Extreme Cream as a 70ml two-for-one set — 140ml for 21,950 KRW on sale — which works out to about 157 KRW per ml against this cream's 100 KRW per ml, a gap of only around 1.6 times (checked 2026-08-31).
Is it a functional cosmetic?
No. This cream carries no functional-cosmetic claim, though two of its Cerabase siblings do — the Pure Brightening cream for whitening and the Firming Booster cream for wrinkle improvement. The listing does record Neopharm's own barrier-improvement trial claiming a 72 percent improvement in transepidermal water loss; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independent finding.
Is it vegan certified, and does it contain petrolatum?
No vegan certification mark appears on the Daiso Mall listing. Petrolatum, mineral oil and paraffin are all absent from the declared ingredient list (checked 2026-08-31).
