Madeca 21 Teca Solution Soothing Cream
Madeca 21 is a registered brand of Korean pharmaceutical company Dongkook Pharmaceutical, whose retail centella brand is Centellian24. This 50ml cream sells at Daiso for 5,000 KRW — 100 KRW per ml against 760 KRW per ml for Centellian24's Madeca Cream Time Reverse at its 38,000 KRW list price. The two are not the same formula. The Daiso cream declares 50 ingredients and is not a registered functional cosmetic; the retail Madeca Cream declares around 110, is MFDS-registered for whitening and wrinkle improvement, and publishes madecassic acid at 4,800 ppm. Niacinamide, adenosine, madecassoside and retinol are all in the retail cream and absent from this one, which instead adds a seven-plant sprout complex and shea butter. (Checked: 2026-09-07)

Is it OK for sensitive skin?
Declared facts only, not a suitability verdict: fragrance is declared; labeled allergens present: Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene; no denatured alcohol listed. No irritation-related fact here implies suitability for any skin type.
Can I buy it outside Korea?
No international-shipping channel verified in our sources (checked 2026-09-10); Shipping scope unverified: Daiso Korea, Daiso Mall (daisomall.co.kr).
How is the Daiso version different from the original?
It is a different, simpler formula on a separate brand line, not a repackaged Madeca Cream. Both are sold by Dongkook Pharmaceutical, but this one is made by Cosmax and the retail Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse by Kolmar Korea. The Daiso cream declares 50 ingredients and states it is not a functional cosmetic; the retail cream declares roughly 110, carries MFDS functional-cosmetic registration for whitening and wrinkle improvement, and discloses madecassic acid at 4,800 ppm. Niacinamide, adenosine, madecassoside and retinol appear only in the retail version. Both do contain the TECA constituent acids, but this one declares them 36th to 38th of 50 with no concentration given. Compared on 2026-08-31; Dongkook told Korean press in 2024 that the core ingredients are shared and the content levels differ.
Is Madeca 21 sold only at Daiso?
Mostly, but not entirely. The 3,000-5,000 KRW Madeca 21 skincare range — 14 SKUs including this cream — appears only through Daiso. However Dongkook's own online store separately sells a Madeca 21 Teca Sol Toner in a 500ml size at 12,900 KRW, so the brand itself is not strictly Daiso-exclusive. Olive Young carries no Madeca 21 products, and no company statement claiming Daiso exclusivity was found (checked 2026-08-31).
Does the name "Teca Solution" mean it contains TECA?
It contains TECA's constituent acids, but the label does not name TECA itself. The disclosure declares asiaticoside, madecassic acid and asiatic acid separately, at positions 36 to 38 of 50, with no concentration given. Dongkook's retail Madeca products list the same acids the same itemised way rather than naming TECA as an ingredient — but they do publish a figure for madecassic acid, 4,800 ppm on the Madeca Cream Time Reverse and 4,000 ppm on the Power Boosting Formula. So the difference is disclosure of strength, not of which centella compounds are present (checked 2026-08-31).
Is it vegan certified, and does it contain petrolatum?
No vegan certification mark appears on the Daiso Mall listing, and none appears on the retail Madeca Cream listing either. Petrolatum is in neither product's declared ingredient list (checked 2026-08-31).
